How To Upload A Vocal To Sell Online

Hey everyone! Welcome to Vocal Deals, your one-stop shop for buying and selling amazing vocals & tracks.

In this article, I’ll walk you through how vocalists, rappers or songwriters like you can upload new Products to sell and earn money from your vocals.


Step 1: Once you're logged in as a seller, you’ll land on your Seller Dashboard. Click on the ‘Products’ tab in your dashboard. This is where you’ll upload and manage all your vocals or tracks.

- For the title put only the title there, not a featured artist, not a producer name, just the title.

Step 3: Upload a cover art, you can use any picture just make sure it's a square like the dimensions of an actual song artwork such that the height and width of the picture are the same number.

Step 4: Select a License. If you're not sure what license to choose for the product you're uploading visit www.vocaldeals.com/seller and click on 'need tips'. You should get a good answer under FAQ number 2.

Step 5: Next upload your mp3 demo, note that this is not your actual vocal stem, this is just an mp3 of your vocal playing along with an instrumental just so buyers can hear what it sounds like before they decide to purchase it if they like what they hear.

Step 6: Enter the URL of your stems. We usually prefer a dropbox download link to a zip file of the stems or a folder containing all the wav stem files. If you don't have a dropbox, You can also use Google Drive but just make sure you set the permissions such that everyone who has this link can access the files. This is because that is the very link the buyer will get after they pay for the vocal and if they are not able to download it, they will have to be refunded and you will lose the money from that sale.

Step 7: Set your price. For this you're free to set your own prices but for those who are not sure what price is okay, we have some price recommendations in your announcements tab called 'Tips on Pricing'. That should be enough to help you know what works.

Step 8: Next select the BPM, the Key, gender and up to 3 Genres that apply to your vocal or track. This helps buyers find you faster.

Step 9: If you're uploading a cover vocal, just grab the spotify or youtube link of the original song and put it here. If it's not a cover just leave it empty. Same applies for these other fields for Pack quantity if you're uploading a vocal pack bundle with multiple vocals inside or if you want to retain your publishing on Exclusive or Non-exclusive vocals.

Once everything else is filled out, scroll to the top and click Send New Product For Review. Your product will go through an approval process, which usually takes about 24 hours. If you started filling out the details and for any reason, you have to stop and continue later you can just click Save as Draft. 

If there are no issues with your product, you’ll get a notification once your track is live and ready for buyers to discover! Also note that if there are any issues with your product during the approval process, you will be sent a notification with more details of the issue and the status of your product will be automatically changed to Draft.
